SARhive began inside classrooms, labs and studios at SAIT. Students from more than a dozen countries and twelve academic programs joined one initiative with a single purpose: when someone is missing, organise the people looking for them.

Where it started
A community searching for Parker
When Parker went missing, neighbours, volunteers and families organised themselves overnight. People wanted to help — what was missing was a way to coordinate everyone looking.
Students at SAIT watched that effort unfold and recognised a problem their programs were already preparing them to solve: information scattered across phone calls, group chats and paper maps, with no shared picture of what had been covered.
SARhive is the answer they built together — a coordination initiative shaped by people who arrived in Canada as students and chose to contribute something back.
